What do we do?

Our occupational therapists are trained to provide high quality mental health services. We support people with a range of conditions.

Occupational therapy supports people to be able to participate in meaningful activities that help improve mental health and wellbeing. We work with individuals to support them to develop, improve or recover skills relating to activities of daily living. We work in a client-centred, strengths-based approach that allows us to identify what is working well for the individual and what barriers to mental health can be addressed by providing strategies, or by changing the environment.

We support people to:

  • Manage different emotions and improve mood

  • Budget personal finances

  • Improve self-organisational skills

  • Improve relationships

  • Find enjoyable, fulfilling activities

  • Improve work and study skills

  • Manage household tasks, such as cleaning

  • Improve motivation

  • Work towards meaningful, achievable goals

  • Improve self-esteem and perceived self-worth
